Who is responsible
This notice covers Language Foundation, including Digital Life and Build English. Mass Presence LLC, at Petőfi Sándor utca 48., 2724 Újlengyel, Hungary, operates the website and is the controller responsible for the personal data described here.

Browsing and learning
You can use the website without an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, payment details, or a personal profile. There is no registration, newsletter sign-up, contact form, or file upload.
The website loads Google Analytics to measure website usage and Google AdSense to support advertising. These services load scripts from Google and may use cookies or similar technologies. Fonts and learning materials are served with the website.
Loading these services sends connection information to Google. Analytics can collect visited page addresses, referring pages, and browser and device information; page addresses can include dictionary search terms. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details.
Dictionary searches
When you search Digital Life, the word or phrase you enter is sent to our server to find a matching entry. It appears in the page address and may remain in your browser history or technical request logs. The application does not save a separate history of your searches. Please do not enter personal or confidential information in the search box.
Exercises and feedback
Your sentence answers, scores, and immediate feedback are processed in your browser. They are not submitted to our server or an AI service. The practice studio downloads the lesson materials you select, without sending your answers.
Answers and scores remain in the current page's memory while you practise. We do not create a central learner record or sync your progress across devices. Feedback compares your word order with the exercise's accepted answers; it does not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and browser storage
The learning features use a first-party cookie for lesson progress and local storage for your sentence colour preference. These support the learning features and are not used by the application for advertising or cross-site tracking. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use additional cookies or browser storage.
Build English progress
Cookie name: build_english_progress.
This cookie is saved when you open a lesson and updated when you complete it. It remembers the current lesson and completed lessons so the course overview can show where to continue. It contains a format version and lesson identifiers, with no names, email addresses, answers, scores, or unique visitor identifier.
Duration: 365 days after its latest update. Further progress updates renew that period. Scope: /courses/build-english/ on this website. Your browser sends it with matching page requests, although the application uses it in your browser and does not store it in a learner database. Practice-material downloads explicitly omit cookies.
The cookie uses SameSite=Lax and is marked Secure when the website is accessed over HTTPS. The website's JavaScript can read it to display your progress.
Page history and cached materials
Lesson pages keep the activity position, completion state, and optional-practice setting in the current tab's navigation history to support Back, Forward, and reload. This state contains no answers or scores and is not sent to our server. Its lifetime depends on your browser's history and session-restore settings.
Your browser may also cache page assets and lesson files, including versioned practice materials for up to one year. These are website content, not a record of your answers.
Your storage choices
You can inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage in your browser's settings. Clear both current and older colour-preference keys to remove that preference completely. Clear browsing history separately to remove visited addresses and saved navigation state.
Blocking storage still lets you read and practise, but your progress and colour choice will not be remembered. Deleting the progress cookie resets saved course progress. The public pages do not create server-session cookies or an XSRF-TOKEN cookie.
Technical information and hosting
Loading a page necessarily sends technical information to the server, including your IP address, the requested address, and browser connection details. Request records can also include a timestamp, response status, and a referring page where your browser supplies it. Some of this information can be personal data even when you have no account.
Technical information may be recorded in access or error logs to deliver the website, diagnose faults, and protect it against misuse. The application reports errors but does not maintain a visitor-activity database. Access-log fields and deletion schedules depend on the server's operating configuration.
The planned hosting provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, with the selected server location in Helsinki, Finland. Its registered office is in Germany. Hetzner processes hosting data as needed to provide and secure its service; its data protection information explains the handling of EU server locations.
The website does not send searches or exercise answers to an external AI service. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices when you choose to follow them.
If you contact us
If you email info (at) language (dot) foundation, we receive your email address, message, and any other information you include. Email delivery providers also process the message to deliver it. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, review a correction, or handle a privacy request.
Email is optional. Please include only the information needed for your enquiry. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list or use their messages for advertising.
Why information is used and how long it is kept
Where technical information or general correspondence is personal data, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing a working, secure educational website and responding to enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Handling requests to exercise your data protection rights may also be necessary to meet our legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c).
The browser-storage periods are listed above. Searches are processed to return results, without a separate search-history record in the application.
There is currently no fixed retention period for technical logs or email correspondence, and the website does not automatically delete them after a set number of days. The criteria for retaining these records are whether they are needed to investigate a fault or security issue, resolve an enquiry and related follow-up, or meet a legal obligation or address a specific dispute. You may request deletion where the GDPR's conditions for erasure are met.
We do not sell personal data. Other recipients receive information only where needed to deliver the service, respond to you, or meet a legal requirement.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access to personal data held about you, correction, deletion, or restriction of its use. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met; if any processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to info (at) language (dot) foundation. We normally respond within one month. If a permitted extension is needed because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain the reason within that month. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity or locate the relevant record.
Because there are no learner accounts, we cannot look up browser-only progress by name or email. You can remove that data directly using your browser's controls.
You may complain to a competent data protection authority, including the authority in the EU country where you live or work. The authority in the operator's country is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the website's features or data-handling practices change.
